Exam Tips
- 1Read each word problem twice — underline key values, relationships, and the question asked
- 2Draw a model or diagram even if you think you can solve it mentally — it reduces careless mistakes
- 3For a challenging problem, try working backwards from the answer choices or using the supposition method
- 4Allocate time: Paper 1 — 1 minute per mark; Paper 2 — 1.5 minutes per mark. Skip and return to difficult questions
- 5Always check units — ensure your answer is in the correct unit (cm vs m, g vs kg)
